Listing Policy

By utilising our Site and other services, you affirm and declare that you will not list, post, or provide information regarding the sale, purchase, or exchange of goods and services, content, or information that is illegal according to the laws of the Republic of India and is not allowed under the prohibited items policy outlined below.

1. For the sake of clarity and in addition to the aforementioned, all users are expected to observe the following policies while listing items:

·        Prohibited Goods Policy: Users must follow the restricted items policy while listing, posting, or providing information on any goods or services, in addition to the previously mentioned forbidden things policy.

· Listings of duplicate ads are prohibited. Any ad posted more than once with the same content or title in the same city and category would be considered a duplicate ad. Only if you are selling a variety of goods or services do we advise running more than one ad. If the issue continues, posters will be fined, and all duplicate advertising will be removed.

·        Mature Population/Sex-Related Content: Classifieds for products intended for sexual behaviour are not allowed. (The sale of a vibrator is an example of a classified advertisement about an item that is typically prohibited.) Additionally, regardless of the item in the listing, titles that contain explicit or graphic adult language are unacceptable.

2. Prohibited Items Policy.

A. We explicitly forbid the listing or posting of classifieds or information concerning the following items:

·        Alcoholic beverages, liquor, tobacco products, drugs, psychotropic substances, narcotics, and intoxicants of any kind, as well as medicines and palliative or curative substances, must not be provided. Furthermore, you are prohibited from directly or indirectly linking to or including descriptions of items, goods, or services that are banned under any relevant laws currently in effect, including but not limited to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act of 1940, the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act of 1954, the Narcotic Drug and Prohibited Substances Act, and the Indian Penal Code of 1860.

·        A living or deceased individual, or any complete or partial human entity that has been maintained or preserved through any method, whether artificial or natural, encompassing any blood, bodily fluids, and body parts.

·        Prostitution, along with any similar services, is deemed to contravene the stipulations of the Immoral Act or the Indecent Representation of Women Act, as it infringes upon the prevailing norms of morality and decency within Indian society.

·        Religious objects, such as books, artefacts, and similar items, or any information and descriptions about such items that may influence the religious feelings of any individual or community.

·        The Mature Audiences Policy encompasses films that lack a certificate for public screening granted by the Central Board of Film Certification and/or those that portray or address issues that are considered offensive or distasteful and/or have the potential to corrupt an individual's mind in a manner that may violate the moral, decent, and proper standards typically upheld by reasonable adults.

·        Obscene Items refer to items that feature an indecent portrayal of women as defined by the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986; this includes any publication, film, or item that describes or depicts a minor who is, or appears to be, under the age of 18 (regardless of whether the minor is involved in sexual activity) as well as any computer games that are inappropriate for minors and unsuitable for them to view or play.

·        Material deemed offensive, designed for application in a sexual context (which encompasses items related to "bondage" and "fetish"), that exhibits sexual acts or represents human genitalia in a manner that is "life-like" or realistic.

·        "Antiquities" and "Art Treasures" in contravention of the stipulations outlined in the Antiquities and Art Treasures Act of 1972 ("the Act").

·        Content or materials that are harmful, slanderous, menacing, or offensive in character.

·        Deceptive information that misrepresents the characteristics and intended use of the products or services.

·        Products that have been stolen, pirated, or counterfeited, or unapproved, unlawful services (those for which you lack the necessary authorisation or license).

·        Products, goods, and services that violate or seek to violate the intellectual property, publicity, or moral rights of third parties, or that falsely claim to violate someone's right to privacy.

·        Any computer software that makes it easier to hack a computer system to cause harm to a computer or computer network, or intercept any personal information, or computer viruses of any kind that are transmitted electronically through any channel.

·        Any hateful, disparaging, or slanderous content that could be aimed at any person or organisation or that calls for violence against users, people, or animals is not permitted in your information.

·        Destructive devices, fireworks, and explosives, including any substance that makes it possible to create explosive devices, fireworks, and explosive triggers.

·        Personal Financial Records, Identity Documents, and Personal Information (including mailing lists)

·        Slot machines, lottery tickets, and sweepstakes entries

·        Products that violate the 1954 Food Adulteration Act.

·        Any government emblems, insignia, uniforms, coats of arms, military or police badges, or objects that violate the Flag Codes of India Act of 2002 or the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act of 1950

·        Weapons and related products (including weapons, magazines, and parts for guns, ammo, tear gas, shock guns, switchblade knives, and anything else that the Indian Arms Act of 1959 forbids).

·        "Frauds like 'pyramid schemes,' 'multilevel marketing,' and/or similar ones that are only listed to trick users.

·        Fraud schemes (such as "get rich quick" and "work at home" frauds, which are only listed to deceive customers), spam, abuse, and duplicate listings.

·        The dining table is labelled as office furniture, which is inappropriate and in the wrong category.

·        Inaccurate Listing City/Location (you can only list in the city where you are based).

·        Listings abroad.

·        Belongs to someone else and over whom the user has no authority;

·        is offensive or harassing based on gender, libellous, racially or ethnically objectionable, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, pedophilic, invasive of another's privacy, including bodily privacy, related to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or otherwise in conflict with or against the laws in effect;

·        is detrimental to kids;

·        Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights;

·        Contravenes any currently enacted laws;

·        Misleadingly or purposefully conveys information that is obviously untrue or misleading, but could be interpreted as facts, or deceives the recipient about the message's origin;

·        Pretends to be someone else;

·        Threatens public order, India's unity, integrity, defence, security, or sovereignty, cordial relations with other countries, or incites the commission of any crime that is punishable by law, obstructs the investigation of any crime, or is offensive to any other country;

·        includes a software virus or any other computer code, file, or application intended to disrupt, eliminate, or restrict the use of any computer resource;

·        is obviously inaccurate and false, and it is written or disseminated in any way with the intention of misleading, harassing, or harming a person, organization, or agency to obtain money or to harm someone. 

 

3. Repercussions for Listing Policy Violations

The following sanctions may be imposed on users who violate the policies regarding restricted or prohibited items:

 

1.      Membership suspension or termination

2.  Blocking access to the website permanently.

3.      Notifying the proper authorities or law enforcement.

4.      The Terms of Use will govern the course of action.

 

4. The vendor is required to provide the following details:

· Any contractual information regarding the goods being offered.

·        The overall cost of any product or service, detailing the itemised price along with all mandatory and optional fees, including the relevant tax.

·        The expiration date of the product being offered for sale, if applicable, as well as any other notices and information required by law.

·        All pertinent information regarding the products and services provided, including the nation of origin

·        The name, number to call, and title of the seller's grievance officer

·        When it comes to imported items, the importer's name, contact information, and assurances regarding the products' legitimacy or validity

·        Terms of exchange, refunds, and returns, along with details about return shipping charges.

·        Pertinent information on the shipping and delivery of these products or services.

·        Any pertinent warranties or guarantees that apply to these products or services.

·        If a registered entity

·        Real address.

·        Scores and aggregated comments; 

·        The content aligns with the real attributes and features of products and services.
